Adding audio and streaming links to your composition
Link a master audio file or a streaming reference (Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and others) to document the sound recording associated with a composition.

Why add an audio link?
An audio link gives the people working on a composition a reference to hear the work. Use Audio Links for playback or file references; use Recording Information and Recordings / Master Rights for the formal recording, ISRC, release, and ownership details.
What counts as an audio link
MRP accepts any publicly accessible link that resolves to an audio playback or download. Common examples include:
- A Spotify or Apple Music track URL
- A SoundCloud or Bandcamp link
- A YouTube or Vimeo video with the composition
- A Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer link to a master WAV, AIFF, or MP3 file
- Any direct URL that plays or downloads an audio file
How to add an audio link
Open Audio Links in Guided Song Setup or on the composition page, add the URL, and save. You can keep several references—such as a private mix and a public streaming link. Check the access settings at the hosting service before sharing a private link.
Audio and the Passport Score
Audio Links can improve the supporting completeness shown in the Passport Score. The score is a documentation indicator, not proof of ownership or a registration result.
Shared access
Audio links are visible to all contributors who have access to the composition. If your master file is private, use a password-protected sharing link or restrict access at the file hosting service level rather than here.
