How writer and publisher invitations work
MRP sends invitation emails to co-writers so they can confirm their share. Here is how the invitation process works from start to finish.

When an invitation is sent
After you add a co-writer and set the proposal in Guided Song Setup, send an invitation from the invitation stage or composition page. The secure link takes the recipient to their own review flow for the composition and their proposed share.
What the invitation email contains
The invitation email includes:
- The composition title
- The writer share percentage attributed to the recipient
- A unique link to review and confirm (or dispute) their claim
- Basic information about MRP
New and existing MRP members
If the invited co-writer does not yet have an MRP account, the link guides them through sign-up before the review. Existing members receive an in-app notification as well as the email, so they can act from the notification bell or their invitation page.
What the co-writer does
After following the invitation link, the co-writer can:
- Confirm their proposed writer share and publishing information
- Request a change or raise a question when the proposal is not correct
Resending an invitation
If a co-writer cannot find the message, resend the invitation from the composition page. MRP provides a fresh link. Before resending after a rights change, make sure the new proposal is what you want the contributor to review.
Publishers vs. co-writers
A publisher company is not a co-writer and does not accept a writer-share invitation. However, MRP can send a secure Publisher IPI completion request to a company contact when a missing Publisher IPI is blocking a registration workflow. That request is limited to the company identity information and does not grant account access.
Cancelling an invitation
You can cancel a pending invitation from the composition page. Cancelling an invitation removes the claim from the composition. If the writer still needs to be included, you can add them again and a new invitation will be sent.
